This blog now runs on Wordpress’ latest release - 2.5. Which is good, really, it is. It’s sweet. Why wouldn’t it be?

And yet again, before updating the software, I forget to back up the latest version of my theme. Yes, I am stewpid, just to answer your question.

But I’m not really furious about losing my theme because frankly, I am bored with it. I haven’t updated my portfolio in a long long time either.

Right now, I have some really busy times consuming the whole of me and the hole of me. But as soon as I’m done with this drag of a time (which will be around the 15th of May), I’ll get to designing a Corrosion.Logic v3.0 and trust you me - It will own the glory of the heavens and the fury of the never-realms. Okay, so I exaggerated a bit, but yea, it will be freaking sweet. It could get really grungy though, may be not, that I’m not sure about. But yes, a 2008 update is in order, I’m well aware of it and dying to work on it.

It’s 0140 hrs. which means there’s at least 50 minutes more before I sleep. I feel lethargic! There are hundreds of ideas bulbing in my head but I can’t seem to focus on anything enough to be able to create something worthwhile. I mean, 50 minutes, that could be used to design something new, to enhance an existing design, to CREATE something, is just going to be a waste!

I feel like kicking the crap out of myself for wasting my own time.

No wait, that was a really emo thing to say.

Oh well. I guess, the day ends here. For tomorrow we fight and we bite again.

Everyday the design of this blog experiences an evolutionary change. It looks better than the day before. Though simple, this is very comforting. This site is like my child, and I see it growing everyday.

And in the very same fashion, there will probably be, more elements added to it tomorrow, the day after and so on and so forth. So keep watching and keep reading.  Today was invested in a whole lot of work, but we get back on our goofy track from tomorrow onwards.

Oh wait, isn’t it past midnight already here? Let the goofing begin!

Here’s the thing. Your left eye or your right eye must have flickered some time in your life and maybe it’s even a regular thing. But for the past two days I’ve been experiencing the same flickers on my left cheek bone. WTF?

So the blog finally has a header. Meh!

I just modded the header from version 2.0 of my folio (work in progress) and fit it in the Wordpress CSS. Looks cool enough I must say. It’s kinda empty and dull, so I’ll probably add more designer-inged spice to it. But not now. I’m already hell tired and can’t seem to visualize anything. So design skill right now = Nil.

But hey, at least the site’s got a working header. Which is more than enough at this point. Since many things are still waiting to see the light.

A little update on the skinning here and venting out a little too: Finally the CSS code for this blog engine makes sense. I can never understand one thing - Why do these open source web 2.0 applications have to be written in such obnoxiously expanded code? Now don’t tell me, everything is made super simple for the layman to understand. Because that is just such a croc! Laymen are not supposed to be modifying the skins for their blogs. Hell, laymen are not supposed to have blog CMS’ on individual web hosts in the first place. There are a whole lot of free places like blogger, blogspot etc. etc.

Can’t organizations like Wordpress etc. realize that with a code so blatantly bloated up to make a layman understand it’s complexities, it becomes difficult for people with coding experience to strafe through the garbage heap?

Man! Several, and I mean, SEVERAL definition blocks for the same property. All I need is one block and we can get going. Please!

Phew! *a little steam vents out. Let’s target some other bunch of nerds to attack!*

Another little rant:

I really need to transfer to a better server. I need speed! And THAT, is the only problem here.

In fact, this server is so slow that everytime I try to update my options in Wordpress or edit a PHP file, the connection gets an interrupt due to the slug speed and it starts downloading the .php file. Wha???

I really gotta do something about this. I can’t go on like this much longer.

I HATE RATS!

Well, this isn’t the first time I’m saying this, I’ve always had this sweet little feeling called “hatred” for rats ever since I was little. No, I wasn’t scared of rats as a child. I just found them extremely disgusting, just like dogs. Oh, did I offend any of you dog people? Did I? Listen closely - I don’t care. I hate dogs the same way I hate rats. I love lions though… And stallions… Oh well.

What this rant is all about? Hmmm, here’s what happened today…

New fonts, new colors… Basically meddled with the CSS of this beast a little to maintain a wee bit of sanity in this insane foot-fonted world.

Now I feel the need to design some custom graphics, which I’ll probably do tomorrow as I’m feeling really drowzy.
If I don’t sleep, I’ll try and update it as much as possible, but till then, this is as much as it really is.
